The total lunar eclipse on sundday, 7, Septembe,, 2025, will be visible across Asia, Western Australia, eastern Australia, and New Zealand. It will also be partially visible in Europe and Africa. The eclipse will not be visible from the Americas. 

The timing of eclipse  in some  places  where  it is visible  is

London  19.30 to 21.55

Dubai  19.28 to 0,55

Singapore 23.28  to $,55 Am

Tokyo   0.28  to 5.27

Sydney  1.28 8.11

 

In India:-

The  Madathu   Panchangam(drik)  says  

The grahana   sparsam  is at 9.54  pm  and  moksham is at 1.25 AM on 8-9-2025  . It says   the   Grahana Takes  place  in Pororattathi star  and stars  affected are

Punarpoosam , visakam, chadayam, pororattathi and uthrattathi

However   Sri Rangam Panchangam(Vakhya Panchangam)  says and sparsam is at  9.57 pm and moksham  at  1.26 am  on 8-8-2024,It says  that Grahanam takes place  in Chadayam star  ,The stars affected are

Thiruvathirai , , Anusham  , avittam, chadayam and poororattathi

Grahana   Tharpana 

 

 The Lunar eclipse Tharpana   has to be done   towards  the end of  Chandra Grahana(early morning). Since the Grahana   ends   on  8-9-25  early morning , Most of the  Panchangas   suggest that tharpana   can be done   after  bath on  monday

The   sankalpa manthra   for this eclipse (for doing it in india  on 8-9-2025  Monday  morning (according to Madathu   Panchanga)   is :-

Shobhakruth nama samvathsare, dakshinayane, sharad rithou, simha  mase, Shukla pakshe, adhya Prathamayam punya thidhou, Indhu vasara yukthayam, Porva Bhadrapada  Nakshatra yukthayam, Shubhayoga, Shubha Karana evam guna viseshena, visishtayam asyam Prathamayam  punya thidhou, somopa raga punyakale, darsa sradham, thilatharpana roopena adhya karishye.  (Prathama up to 8.13 pm next and afterwards Dwitheeya, Poorva bhadra pada is up to 8.04 pm and afterwards Uthara poorva pada)

(Those  whose Nakshatra   the eclipse are affected , should write the following sloka in a palm leaf and tie it to their forehead. After the eclipse this palm leaf (if palm leaf not available on card board ) and it should be removed. Then they should give in charity one Ash gourd, coconut and coin to a Brahmin.


“Indro analo Yamo , riksho, varuno vayurevacham, Kubhera, eeso knandu Indu uparaga udhavyathaam mama”

 

For getting rid of the  problems caused  Individuals can also chant 

“Yo Sou  Vajra dharou Deva, nakshtraanaam   prabhurmatha, sahasra nayana Chandra  , graha peedaam Vyopahathu”

 

Sri Vaishnavas   chant the following stotra

 

Chandra antharyami   Sri  Anjaneya  preranayaa ,

Sri Anjana swami preethyartham  ,

CHandroparaga   peeda parihartham,

SAnaaga   Chandra bimba   dhanamaham karishye
