This  eclipse    is a total eclipse  all over India .When a total eclipse  occurs  , the moon is seen with red colour  .This is called  blood  moon  .In India   this year we would be seeing the blood moon   

This   Lunar Eclipse would be visible n large parts of Australia, Asia, Africa, Europe, and South America. 
The Total Lunar Eclipse would be visible from India, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Indonesia and most countries of Asiaian  continent.
None of the eclipse would be visible from North America  and some northern parts of Russia. .I  am giving below   the time  of the eclipse  in  few  centres

The Lunar eclipse Tharpana   has to be done   towards  the end of  Chandra Grahana. Since the Grahana   ends   on 28-7-2018, Most of the  Panchangas   suggest that tharpana   can be done   after  bath   first thing in the morning on 28^th  July  2018  Before doing Tharpana   we have to take bath    and after  the end  of  the eclipse  we have to again take bath.(if Sradha  is on POurnamasi thithi  on 27th, it should be done only on 28-7--2018).Hindus believe that  if the  moon sets before release  of eclipse , till it rises again  no food should be taken

The   sankalpa manthra   for this eclipse (for doing it in india  on 27^th  July early morning before 2.24  AM ) before lunar eclipse ends  is :-

  Vilambi nama samvathsare ,dakshinayane   , Greeshma rithou, Kadaka  mase , Krisna pakshe, adhya Pornamasyam     punya thidhou , Brigu vasara yukthayam, Sravana nakshatra yukthayam, shubhayoga, shubhaKarana evam guna viseshena, visishtayam asyam Pornamasyam    punya thidhou, Somoparaga  punya kale , uparaga sradham , thilatharpana roopena adhya karishye

The   sankalpa manthra   for this eclipse (for doing it in india   on 28^th  July  after  sun rise  at early morning)  is :-

(Adjust thithi and Nakshtra   to places using this info. Pournami is  up to 2.21 Am   IST  afterwards  Prathama, Sravana  is up to 3.38 Am  IST  on sunday  )

The following stars are affected  Karthiga, uthram, uthradam , pooradam and thiruonam

(Those  whose Nakshatra   the eclipse are affected , should write the following sloka in a palm leaf and tie it to their forehead. After the eclipse this palm leaf (if palm leaf not available on card board ) and it should be removed. Then they should give in charity one Ash gourd, coconut and coin to a Brahmin.

For getting rid of the  problems caused  Individuals can also chant 

“Yo Sou  Vajra dharou Deva, nakshtraanaam   prabhurmatha, sahasra nayana Chandra  , graha peedaam Vyopahathu”

Sri Vaishnavas   chant the following stotra

Chandra antharyami   Sri  Anjaneya  preranayaa ,

Sri Anjana swami preethyartham  ,

CHandroparaga   peeda parihartham,

SAnaaga   Chandra bimba   dhanamaham karishye
